Lilly Nature Center in Celery Bog Nature Area contains approximately 185 acres of wetlands, adjacent Scifres-Maier Woods Nature Preserve and fields.

A 1.5 mile trail with interpretive signs as well as a 4.33 mile paved trail for exploration and discover of the wetlands.

Botanic gardens open to the public year-round, seven days a week.
The gardens display a wide diversity of plants, including nearly 200 species of perennial flowers and foliage plants, and over 300 cultivars of annual flowers and garden vegetables. Collections include peonies, daylilies, hosta, spring-flowering bulbs, and ornamental grasses.

Purdue University Horticulture Park

“Hort Park” is one of the great things about sharing a community with Purdue University. Open-landscaped, perfect for picnics, peaceful walks and exploring the beauty of its natural settings. Many forestry, art, and horticulture classes use the park as an educational tool. It is also a wonderful spot for finding unique species of trees, loved by leaf collectors of all ages. The park is free to the public and open year-round from dawn to dusk.

Wah-ba-shik-a Nature Center

Features Natural History exhibits and has a wildlife observation window. Wabash Heritage Trail maps and conditions are available at the Nature Center.

The nature center is open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily mid-April through early November.

Wolf Park


Visit The Purdue Gardens

A non-profit wildlife facility that educates the public about nature through their resident wolves, coyotes, foxes and bison. Visitors can see the animals up close and learn about their behavior during public programs and guided tours. Primary open season is May to November, but there are programs offered year round with unique opportunities for people of all ages. Guided tour and lecture from 1 pm - 5 pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Wolf-bison demonstration Sundays at 1 pm; May 1 to November 30. Wolf howls offered Fridays at 7:30 pm; May 1 to November 30 and Saturday nights year-round at 7:30 pm, weather permitting.
