Jo Wilson Wade

A veteran of promoting the Lafayette—West Lafayette tourism and travel industry, Jo assumed the helm of the Lafayette—West Lafayette Convention & Visitors Bureau (LWLCVB) in January 1985.  She started at the LWLCVB in December of 1980 as a convention service coordinator and had several titles before assuming the top leadership position. Jo oversees and provides direction for all LWLCVB functions.

Jo is committed to ensuring that LWLCVB delivers a quality experience to all visitors to the area—convention delegates, leisure and business travelers. She spends much of her time keeping up on current trends and technology that will bring the best return on investment for the CVB and the community. She is passionate about the tourism industry and its positive benefits to Tippecanoe County and all of Indiana.  She is actively involved with many local community groups, numerous committees and boards and is a member of various local and state organizations. Jo volunteers at festivals and events throughout the year, often with her camera in hand. She loves to keep the LWLCVB photo files one of the best in the area. She has been active in several Indiana tourism organizations including the Association of Indiana Convention & Visitors Bureau having held several leadership roles over the years.

Jo grew up in West Lafayette and is a graduate of Purdue University, she lived in several other Indiana towns and Madison, WI, but she has mainly lived and loved this area. Jo has two children both enrolled at Purdue University.  She and her husband have a giant schnauzer dog named Riese whose job it is to make sure they both get out to exercise several times a day.

Lisa Morrow

Vice President
Lisa Morrow

Lisa acts as financial controller and handles the business end of things for the CVB. She uses her years of experience with the Bureau to provide
guidance and keeps a keen eye on finances. She also helps ensure that the office is organized and running smoothly while coordinating many of our projects and our advertising placement and marketing efforts.

Lisa enjoys flower gardening, reading, vacations at the beach with family and friends, and time on the golf course with her husband Jim.

Ashley Gregory

Group Tours & Meeting Manager
Ashley Gregory

Ashley Gregory is the "Group Tours and Meeting Manager". In this role Ashley works with and promotes area hotels/motels, attractions, restaurants and events to help attract tour groups, meetings, conventions, reunions and weddings to Tippecanoe County. She prepares bids, presentations, itineraries and information to meeting and group tour planners. She educates our partners on what is available in the community and makes sure we have the correct information on our website and brochures. Ashley also ensures that relationships are maintained between the lodging facilities and our visitor industry partners networks.

Ashley grew up in Lafayette and attended Purdue University; graduating with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Art History. She loves to spend time with her husband and their two cats as well as travel, cook, scrapbook and sew when she finds time.

Sports Marketing & Recreation Manager
Amanda Gordon

Amanda serves as the sports, tournament and recreational sales manager for the Convention & Visitors Bureau. She coordinates sports and recreation sales activities by actively pursuing sports, tournament, recreational event leads and ensures that relationships are maintained between the tournament organizers, the media and visitor networks. Amanda also helps develop and promote new sports markets, maintains databases and works with the Golf Stay & Play packages for the Lafayette—West Lafayette area.

Amanda is a Texas native but has fallen in love with Lafayette—West Lafayette. She, her husband and their children have made it their home for nearly two decades. In addition to her endeavors with the Convention & Visitors Bureau Amanda is a part time vocalist and actress. Her other areas of interest lie in art and gardening and she cherishes her time exploring what the local and regional community have to offer in these areas.

Judy Ryan

Customer Services Coordinator
Judy Ryan

Judy ensures that visitors are greeted upon their arrival by either Visitor Information Specialists or herself. She is responsible for assisting visitors, answering and handling the phones, scheduling Visitor Information Specialists, part-time staff and volunteers and seeing that the supply of state and local brochures are maintained.  Judy also is responsible for training of the Visitor Information Specialists and maintains quality control of those workers. She also works with the Sales Managers to help keep accurate lead information. Tours of the Tippecanoe County Court House are arranged through Judy. She also handles coordination of our website additions, deletions and trouble shoots Internet problems along with the Vice President.

Judy and her husband like classic cars, she has a beautiful classic t-bird convertible. They also enjoy traveling and spending time with their extended family.

Visitor Information Specialists -
Front Desk Staff

This includes all the part time staff, generally Purdue Students and Interns. They are the face of the Visitor’s Center to a visitor’s perspective. The duties of the Visitor Information Specialists are to assist visitors as they come through the door, call on the phone or email requests; they keep the Visitor’s Center running seven days a week.  Also included in their duties are keeping the brochure racks stocked and taking on special projects as assigned, such as proofing and researching information for newsletter articles and new brochures.

For the most part our VIS staff are Purdue students, who often have not grown up in the area and they work hard to get to know the community and directions in order to be able to answer all the visitors questions or to be able to find where to find the answer.
