Grand Prix Track, behind the Schwartz Tennis Center

Description: A go-kart race held annually since 1958. The Purdue Grand Prix Foundation was born after a dream, inspired by a few enthusiastic students’ late night bull session, became a reality. The students wanted a way for engineering students at Purdue to exercise their skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm.

The track is located behind the Schwartz Tennis Center on McCormick Road near the intersection of McCormick and Cherry Lane. The first race at this new track was in 2009. The race was moved from the old track next to the Ross Ade parking lot.
