Fairfield Lakes
CR 200 S. and 750 E., near Dayton
The 4 lakes were created from gravel mining and cover approximately 55 acres. The lakes are stocked by the IDNR with bass, crappie, catfish and bluegill. Fishing license is required.
At the south end of the park is a canoe access to Wildcat Creek. This is the south fork of the creek, which has been designated as a State Scenic River, one of only three in the State of Indiana. Boats with electric trolling motors are allowed on the lakes; however no ramps are available and dragging your boat is frowned upon. Fairfield Lakes closes at dusk.

Fort Ouiatenon
S. River Road, West Lafayette
Riverfront park. Fort Ouiatenon was the first fortified European settlement in what is now Indiana. It was established by the French in 1717 as a military outpost to prevent British expansion into the Ohio and Wabash country.
The Tippecanoe County Historical Association operates the Blockhouse museum located in the park. Call TCHA for hours of operation at 765-476-8411.
TCHA conducts historical programs and demonstrations at the park, including the Feast of the Hunters' Moon, a re-creation of French and Indian life in the 17th Century.

Ross Camp offers 200 mostly wooded acres and is the adjoining property west of Ross Hills Park. Ross Camp inclues an A-frame Lodge which can be used for meetings, a Dining Hall with a commercial kitchen, a Chapel for weddings; two summer-use barracks style dorms, and two classroom buildings. Ross Camp also offers a campground with modern and primitive sites. A catch and release fishing pond and hiking trails are amenities in the park.

Tippecanoe Battlefield Park

A National Historic Landmark. The park features a museum with gift shop, an 85’ tall marble obelisk monument to the battle, Pioneer Cemetery, a historic chapel and Wah-ba-shik-a Nature Center.

Battle Ground to West Lafayette
A hiking trail running from Tppecanoe Battlefield Park in Battle Ground to Lafayette - West Lafayette. When completed, it will end at Fort Ouiatenon and be approximately 13 miles long.
Offers endless opportunities for bird watching, wildlife observation, exercise and exploration. The Trail is mild to moderate as it winds past marshy areas, buckeye, cottonwood and sycamore trees, wildflowers, and Heron Island Wildlife Preserve.

Wildcat Park

Owned by the Indiana Deptartment of Natural Resources and is leased to the Tippecanoe County Park & Recreation Department. Wildcat Park's primary purpose is to provide a canoe access to Wildcat Creek, one the state's Scenic Streams. Canoeists, tubers, fisherman (license required) and picnickers make great use of the property.
